WWE & A&E Preparing "Big" Announcement?

AEW's Tony Khan isn't the only wrestling promoter preparing big news, it seems.

WWE and cable network A&E appear to be on the verge of dropping "big news."

The @WWEonAE Twitter account confirmed as much on Thursday night:-

As confirmed by PWInsider's Mike Johnson, it is believed that this relates to another series of A&E Biographies featuring profiles of WWE wrestlers. This follows the first run of shows initially airing from April to June 2021, which featured episodes on 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Shawm Michaels, the Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart, and more.

There is currently no word on which wrestlers will feature in the second run - or any further details, for that matter. It's possible that we won't hear more on this matter until WWE and A&E break the news.

A&E operates as a 50/50 joint venture between Hearst Communications and Disney, who have long been linked with potentially expanding their business relationship with WWE. Things are grand as a full-on buyout have been rumoured in the past, though this is entirely speculative, with reports on WWE preparing to sell continually shot down.

Nonetheless, January saw The Walt Disney Company reach a content rights deal in Indonesia, bringing the parties closer together.
