WWE Adds Big Time Title Match To Crown Jewel 2023 Lineup
Many smell a title change incoming after Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown.
WWE has added Rey Mysterio vs. Logan Paul to the upcoming Crown Jewel stadium show in Saudi Arabia on 4 November.
Paul previously fired out a challenge for the United States Title following his controversial celebrity boxing match win over Dillon Danis in the UK last weekend. The bout was "controversial" because general feedback wasn't great - many felt like the scrap was a total flop, but it still reportedly raked in good numbers on pay-per-view.
It hasn't taken LP long to move on, and there's a very good chance he'll be the one to dethrone Rey and bag some WWE gold. Logan showed up on this week's SmackDown to reiterate his intentions to win the United States belt, and Mysterio agreed to put his strap on the line in Saudi.
This is another huge challenge for Paul. If he can hang with someone like Rey (even an older version), then it'll be yet more proof that the YouTuber is a pro wrestling natural. WWE would also receive some mainstream press into the bargain if they put a championship on Logan.
The match is set.
