WWE & AEW Still Battling To Sign THIS Ex-World Champion?

Which former World Champion is wanted by BOTH WWE & AEW?

For Impact World Champion Tessa Blanchard is reportedly the subject of interest from both WWE and AEW.

WrestlingInc reported that that both organisations are keen to secure her signature when she's able to get in and out of Mexico alongside husband and fellow wrestler DAGA. The pair are residing there at present due to the ongoing global health crisis amidst rumours that neither major organisation were keen to sign her. The report suggests otherwise, noting that the controversial circumstances surrounding her Impact Wrestling departure as well as the story that broke regarding a racial slur she'd used years prior haven't put either organisation off.

Though it mustn't be understated how significant those blots on her copybook are, wrestling typically finds ways to obscure the worst if there's money to be made. For both companies, this would likely be the case should Blanchard sign. WWE's women's division is perhaps the best in the world, (regardless of the useless booking so many talents are served) offering up numerous contemporary dream matches for the third generation star. While not quite the literal opposite, AEW's need for female talent is such that she could well feature at the top of their cards from Day One. Having her similarly controversial Father there should also help.
