WWE Airs Mystery Man Teaser - Rey Fenix Coming To SmackDown?! (WWE News)
It looks like Penta's brother Rey Fenix will be heading to WWE SmackDown, not Raw.

WWE aired a mysterious teaser on Friday's episode of SmackDown shot over in Barcelona, Spain. It was brief (around six seconds in total!), but it showed an unnamed luchador perched atop the corner turnbuckles overlooking the ring. Then, a flash of lightning happened and the scene vanished as quickly as it had started.
Many already speculate that this means former AEW man Rey Fenix will soon join his brother Penta on the WWE roster officially/finally. There had been hiccups with that due to All Elite boss Tony Khan tacking on injury time to Rey's contract, but everything has been thrashed out and he's WWE bound.
Interestingly, it seems Fenix will actually join the SmackDown ranks. Plans could change, of course, and it'll be fun to find out if the company repeats this vignette on Monday's edition of Raw. If so, then anyone hoping for a Lucha Bros tag-team run in WWE can start getting excited. Temper that for now though, because there's a chance Rey lands on Friday nights as a solo artist.
There is space on the SmackDown roster for someone with his skills. Fellow lucha stars like Dragon Lee failed to light the brand up before shifting shows, and the legendary Rey Mysterio has since moved over to Raw too. Andrade and Los Garza trio Angel, Berto and Santos Escobar are the only luchador-style workers currently plying their trade under GM Nick Aldis.
In other words, heading to SmackDown rather than Raw could be beneficial to Fenix in the short term.
Rey Fenix Tease One Of Two Mystery Vignettes On SmackDown

Another mystery man promo caught people's attention on the latest episode of blue brand fare too.
It was similarly short (19 seconds this time) and gave even less away than the Rey Fenix one. No wrestlers were shown in the clip, but the number 4 did pop up on screen as smoke filtered in the background. Some fans on social media believe this is evidence that former NXT standout and AEW man Aleister Black is on the comeback trail and will soon re-debut under Triple H in WWE.
That remains to be seen, obviously, but it's a tantalising prospect. Black was one of the biggest acquisitions Tony Khan could've hoped for when he snagged the re-dubbed Malakai in 2021, but making the WWE to AEW jump didn't pay high dividends for Black. He led his House Of Black faction for years without really seeing much singles success to speak of.
It's fair to say that Aleister has some unfinished business on the WWE side anyway. His main roster run sagged following a critically lauded stint on developmental brand NXT. Is he about to land on Friday nights and beg someone to pick a fight? Only time will tell, but it does look like SmackDown is readying itself to welcome some hot new stars in the near future.
