WWE Almost Brought Back THIS Forgotten WCW Faction

A former WWE star claims the company almost updated an old WCW stable.

Ex-WWE star Kalisto has told Lucha Libre Online that the promotion almost brought back WCW's old Latino World Order faction a few years ago.

The idea stemmed from a picture Kalisto took with fellow Latino stars Sin Cara, Humberto Carrillo and Cain Velasquez during one of WWE's jaunts over to Saudi Arabia; that would've been Crown Jewel in October 2019, because Cain wrestled Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title on that card.

According to Kalisto, tentative plans had already been put in place to feud the stable with Rey Mysterio. The Lucha House Party leader had taken several shots at Rey (with his blessing) on social media and in interviews, and that was supposed to lead to something on TV.

Then, suddenly, WWE changed their minds.

Kalisto isn't so sure that top brass were completely sold on an LWO comeback anyway. It would've been hard to do without acknowledging Eddie Guerrero's influence on the WCW faction (which could've 'babyfaced it'), and some fans might not have cared regardless.

Those involved, like Kalisto and Sin Cara, thought it'd be "cool" to try out.
