WWE Announces Hall Of Fame 2017 Inductors
Who will be at the ceremony on March 31?
With just over a week to go until the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the company has announced who will be ushering the remainder of the class's members into the Hall.
Beth Phoenix, the three-time WWE Women's Champion, will be inducted by current Smackdown superstar Natalya. In 2011, Phoenix and Natalya teamed up as "Pin-Up Strong," heels who claimed to be tired of WWE's cookie-cutter system for churning out homogeneous female talent. They feuded with Kelly Kelly, with Phoenix beating her for the Divas' Championship.
Former WCW Champion Diamond Dallas Page will be inducted by the company's one-time president, Eric Bischoff. Bischoff and Page have been close friends for many years, and Bischoff will undoubtedly have insight into the journey that took DDP from being one of the oldest rookies in wrestling history to a world champion.
Finally, The Rock 'N' Roll Express will be inducted by Jim Cornette, who famously managed the team's chief rivals, The Midnight Express. This will be Cornette's first appearance with WWE since 2005, when he was fired for assaulting Santino Marella.
As was previously announced, John Cena will induct Kurt Angle. Teddy Long will be inducted by the APA. Ricky Steamboat will induct Rick Rude.
The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will air live on the WWE Network on Friday, March 31 at 8:00 ET.
