WWE announced on Friday's episode of SmackDown that Jeff Hardy will go one-on-one with Sheamus at Backlash on 14 June.

Confusingly, the company are going with that 'The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever' branding (which is exclusively for Randy Orton vs. Edge) on every match graphic - this, as you'll see above, makes it look like they're claiming every bout on the card is the "Greatest Ever".

This week's developments saw Hardy revealing that he was set up last week. Then, when Sheamus ignored the allegations and brought Jeff's family into things, the comeback king took the fight to his flame-haired heel counterpart but received quite the beating for his troubles.

There was some nice intensity to their verbal exchanges even though the actual material felt a little flimsy. Come Backlash, it's looking good for a robust bout between the pair that should (in theory) lead to revenge for Hardy before both move onto other things this summer.

Maybe they'll end up having "The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever"? Who knows. If not, then they'll surely have a spirited scrap, and their issues are welcome on the pay-per-view undercard.
