WWE revealed one of Raw's SummerSlam matches on this week's SmackDown.

Drew McIntyre vs. Jinder Mahal has been added to WWE's SummerSlam 2021 lineup.

The company announced the new match on Friday's episode of SmackDown. Admittedly, it is pretty curious that they didn't just wait until Monday's 'go home' edition of Raw to officially reveal it - Drew and Jinder have been feuding for weeks now, so it seemed obvious that they'd collide on the 21 August pay-per-view.

Oh well, it's nailed on now.

It's worth noting that McIntyre has been hyping the match in several interviews. He told GiveMeSport that criticism of Jinder's 2017 WWE Title reign is unfair, and added that he's going to make sure that fans see a totally new side of Mahal's game inside the ring.

Both men are supremely motivated to put on a show and do their rivalry justice. That's a good thing; a motivated Drew is the best kind of Drew, and it's not like Jinder is some slouch between the ropes on his day either.

This, if the pair are given time, could actually be a sleeper hit on SummerSlam's undercard. Expect more build towards it on Raw.
