WWE: Backstage News On The Undertaker's Concussion

The Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar match seemed a little off at WrestleMania 30 because of the severity of The Undertaker's concussion. F4Wonline reports that The Undertaker didn't know what he was doing for the latter stages of the bout and it fell upon Lesnar to keep it going. The exact incident which led to the concussion is unknown, but there's a chance it was the single leg takedown where Taker hit his head on the floor. After the match, as told by Paul Heyman on Raw, Undertaker collapsed backstage. We then know that he was transported by ambulance to a local medical facility where he was diagnosed with severe concussion and a neck injury. Vince McMahon accompanied Taker in the ambulance, abandoning his role as producer of WrestleMania 30 in the process. Taker ended up being kept in observation over night but has since left New Orleans to presumably return home. The speculation backstage in WWE is that Undertaker is done with in-ring competition. Nobody knows for sure but the F4Wonline reports there was a lot of talk backstage and it was mostly as if Mania 30 was the Deadman's last match. This may not be the case given how Raw was scripted, no formal retirement has been announced and Undertaker wasn't booked to appear. Appearing on Raw he had a black eye on the left side of his face, something which appeared to leave him wincing during the Mania match. There was no clear immediate plan for what comes next with Brock Lesnar, but he is now the most invested in star on the roster. A future WWE title match seems probable.
