On a recent trip to Sofia, I was bowled over by Bulgaria's beauty and hospitality. Not that I expected anything less, mind, despite being repeatedly told by WWE that the Balkan nation is some sort of vastly inferior wasteland which can't hold a candle to the USA.

This lazy xenophobia is beyond parody now, so all we can do is roll our eyes and get on with it. It's worth noting that just two years ago Rusev was desperately fighting for the honour of Russia (also a lovely place with lovely people), so his sudden reversion to Plovdivian patriotism is a bit hard to believe.

There's no beneficial outcome to this one, plus it's a bloody flag match, which means it'll be awful to boot. It's a one time deal to reestablish Cena ahead of SummerSlam though, and Rusev is a convenient foreign bogeyman to take the fall. A victory for John then, followed by a few minutes of mawkish nationalism.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
