WWE: Christian's 6 Biggest Career Milestones

1. Extreme Rules 2011: Winning World Heavyweight Championship

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmJjTm2eYjg On May 1, 2011, Christian reached the top of the mountain, winning the vacant World Heavyweight Championship - marking the pinnacle of a glorious career. With the help of best friend Edge, he defeated 2011 Royal Rumble winner Alberto Del Rio in a ladder match at the Extreme Rules PPV event. The title was vacated after previous champion Edge, who had defeated Del Rio at WrestleMania XXVII with Christian in his corner, had to retire due to a legitimate career ending neck injury. Christian then won a 20 man battle royal on Smackdown to for the right to face Alberto Del Rio for the strap. Del Rio had previously defeated Christian for the number one contendership. Christian's reign only lasted 5 days, as he was defeated by Randy Orton for the belt on the following episode of Smackdown. Christian turned heel during a consequent feud with Orton, but was able to recapture the gold on Jul 17, 2011 at the Money in the Bank PPV. There was a stipulation that Orton would lose the strap if he was disqualified and was so when he hit Christian in the groin in retaliation to being spat in the face by Captain Charisma. Orton would regain the title at Summerslam a month later and the now 40-year-old Christian hasn't won a world title since, having spent significant periods out of action due to injury.
