WWE Clash Of Champions 2019 Latest - New Matches Added!
A potential show-stealing match has been added to Sunday's PPV...
WWE announced last night that AJ Styles will face Cedric Alexander for the United States Championship at this Sunday's upcoming Clash of Champions pay-per-view.
The highly-anticipated showdown between 'The Phenomenal One' and the former Cruiserweight champion was confirmed following Alexander pinning Styles in the 10-man tag team match during the main event of Monday Night Raw.
AJ and the rest of The O.C. had attacked Alexander on the previous week's Raw, effectively costing him his King Of The Ring quarter-final match, and Gallows and Anderson caused a disqualification finish when the two initially faced off on this week's show.
Despite the news that the King Of The Ring final has now been moved to TV, Clash of Champions' card still looks stacked. Furthermore, Rowan versus Roman Reigns has now been made into a No Disqualification match as a result of the wild brawl that went down on last night's episode of SmackDown LIVE.
On Sunday, Sasha Banks will challenge Becky Lynch for her Raw Women's Championship, whilst Bayley will defend her SmackDown Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair, following on from their phenomenal tag match on Monday night.
Speaking of tag team wrestling, the Women's Tag Team Championships will be up for grabs when Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville take on Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross
Clash of Champions also sees The Revival facing The New Day for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, The Miz versus Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Championship, and a triple threat match between Drew Gulak, Humberto Carillo & Lince Dorado for Gulak's Cruiserweight Championship.
The WWE Championship will also be on the line as Kofi Kingston takes on Randy Orton as part of their highly-personal feud which is steeped in history.
Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman will battle it out for the Universal Championship in the main event, but not before defending their Raw Tag Team Championships in a match with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.
