WWE Confirm Neville's Injury - Will Miss 2-3 Months
Mania taken away from The Man That Gravity Forgot...
WWE have revealed that Neville will be sidelined for the next 2-3 months with the injury he suffered on Monday's RAW. WWE's own Dr. Chris Amann confirmed to WWE.com that The Man That Gravity Forgot had fractured his ankle but that he hadn't suffered a broken shinbone as originally reported, and he won't need surgery. He said;
"Neville had some repeat testing done in Orlando today which included X-Rays and a cat scan of his ankle. Upon further review, it has been determined that surgical repair of the ankle would not be necessary. Instead, he will be treated nonoperatively with a cast and crutches. The estimated return for this type of fracture is usually 2 to 3 months."The injury happened during the former NXT Champion's match with Chris Jericho when he attempted a Baseball Slide through Y2J's legs. His foot got caught in the mat and buckled under his body weight. You could see he was hurt immediately but he carried on, performing a couple of moves including a Hurricanrana. Chris Jericho knew that Neville was injured and tried to call an audible. He rolled the Englishman up into a Schoolboy so referee Charles Robinson could count to three and allow Neville to receive treatment. However, Little Naitch counted two which legitimately infuriated Jericho, who thought the ref had ignored him. Jericho then got in the ref's face, calling him an a**hole and a lot of other swears before the match was stopped. A transcript of what Chris said has been going round the internet, and this is what it said: "He's hurt, he hurt his f*cking ankle. I told you that. I told you that. Don't touch me. You stole that match, you stole that f*cking match, you b*stard." Charles replied: "Don't f*cking touch me. I didnt hear you! Don't f*cking touch me."
