WWE Confirms Lita's First Singles Match In 10 Years
Full details on Lita's first WWE singles match since 2022, following her Royal Rumble 2022 run.
As confirmed on last night's episode of WWE Raw, Lita will wrestle her first singles match in close to 10 years later this month.
The evening's main event segment saw Lita make a surprise appearance, accosting Becky Lynch after the Raw Women's Champion had interrupted Ronda Rousey, who put Lynch down with a judo throw and teased challenging her at WrestleMania 38. With Rousey out of the ring, the Hall of Famer said she wanted to face Lynch for the gold at Elimination Chamber 2022 (19 February).
Though Lynch initially tried to get out of it, she agreed in the end, thus confirming the first singles match for WWE's latest Saudi Arabian supercard.
Lita's appearance in the 2022 women's Royal Rumble on 29 January was her first WWE match of any kind since October 2018. When she faces Lynch, it'll be her first singles bout since the 23 July 2012 episode of Raw, though that two-minute win over Heath Slater was more of an angle than a match.
You have to go all the way back to November 2006 for Lita's last singles title fight - a Women's Title loss to Mickie James.
