With there being previous concerns over whether or not WWE would push forward with Crown Jewel next month in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, even more questions have been raised about that PLE after two days of missile and drone attacks on Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport over the weekend.

This comes on the heels of the US Department of State issuing a Level 3 travel advisory for Saudi Arabia last month, which urges people to "reconsider" travel to the Kingdom. As one would expect, this has become a topic of conversation backstage in WWE, as talent are concerned ahead of the Crown Jewel show on November 7th.

On this matter, the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer notes that Crown Jewel is in "jeopardy" of taking place in Riyadh right now, and he believes a backup plan must be in place should that PLE not be able to happen in Riyadh as scheduled. Meltzer also highlighted the Canelo Alvarez vs. Christian Mbilli boxing card that's set for Riyadh on October 30th as part of Riyadh Season.

With concerns over whether Alvarez vs. Mbilli will go ahead, Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority Chairman and Zuffa Boxing co-founder Turki Al-Sheikh took to X to reiterate that the fight will still go ahead.

For those unaware, Turki Al-Sheikh is one of the main driving forces behind WWE's deal with Saudi Arabia, and is likewise key in WWE's sister company, UFC's, deal with the Kingdom.

Per Dave Meltzer, so long as the Canelo vs. Mbilli event goes ahead, there will be plenty of pressure on WWE to run Crown Jewel in Riyadh as planned.
