WWE Debate: Does Eva Marie Have What It Takes To Be NXT Women's Champion?

A change in the plans suggest her turn could be next...

Believe it or not, the plan for WWE€™s NXT Women€™s Title is for new champion Bayley to ultimately feud with and potentially drop the title to Eva Marie, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. That's right, the same Eva Marie that botched a kick out on last week's episode in her match with Bille Kay. The report states that WWE is considering having Eva Marie win gold in the near future to validate all of the hard work she€™s done and prove the naysayers wrong. The initial plan was to have Bayley feud with Dana Brooke, but it seems Triple H et al have had a rethink. Redhead Marie has been training with former WWE Tag Team Champion Brian Kendrick since March of this year in order to learn how to wrestle. It was clear for all to see when she took to a main roster ring beforehand that she didn't really know what she was doing. There has been a marked improvement in her work and her finisher, the 'Shiranui' Kendrick gave to her, is mightily impressive. But that now infamous botch suggests that a spot in NXT's main event scene is a while off yet. Although, she has been making motions with her hands by her waist suggesting she wants a title shot, so it certainly looks like she will be given the nod pretty soon. This will be a kick in the gut to the other ladies on the roster. People like Alexa Bliss, Emma, and maybe even Carmella can outwrestle Marie, while they all have been in what is still considered as WWE's 'developmental' far longer so will feel their turn is due before hers. It€™s possible that the Bayley/Brooke match will be set up at the next NXT tapings and then potentially a match at the October 7 NXT Takeover event. Assuming Bayley gets past Brooke, it could lead to Bayley vs. Eva Marie for the NXT Women€™s Title in England in December at the first NT Takeover UK show. Does Eva deserve to be thrown into the women's main event picture so soon? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
