WWE Decline Andrade's Release Request
Looks like Andrade won't be leaving WWE any time soon.
WWE have declined Andrade's request to be released from his current contract, according to F4WOnline.com.
This news comes hot on the heels of the former NXT Champion reportedly asking to be let go at the most recent Monday Night Raw taping. PWInsider are also reporting that the star looked "absolutely miserable" whilst backstage at said taping.
Though Andrade hasn't wrestled a match for the company since October last year, it was also confirmed by Fightful Select that there wasn't an outburst or huge backstage confrontation during this exchange.
News of Andrade's potential exit from the company began to do the rounds in the wake of the star deciding to remove "WWE" from his Twitter handle on Friday, with the star also posting a cryptic message on Instagram stating that "If you don't like where you are, move you are not a tree."
For now, it doesn't look like WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is willing to let this particular tree go anywhere, no doubt a move influenced by his fear of another company like AEW or Impact sweeping up the ridiculously talented star soon after.
We'll bring you more updates on this ever-evolving situation as and when they drop.
