It took a few months of rumours to get there, but WWE finally delivered the long-expected DIY reunion on last night's episode of Raw.

Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano came back together after a strong Raw main event pitting Ciampa against Intercontinental Champion Gunther. In 20+ minutes, Gunther defeated Ciampa by hitting him with two consecutive powerbombs, then locking his challenger in a sleeper hold. Although Tommaso appeared to be fighting his way out of it, he ended up entering the shadow realm - and the referee called the match.

Gunther's Imperium stablemates, Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser, attacked Ciampa after the match. This prompted Johnny Gargano to change the ring and clear the remaining Imperium members out (Gunther had already made his way to the back), before Vinci got dropped with DIY's signature Meeting in the Middle.

That DIY would be reuniting under Triple H's creative direction has been a persistent WWE rumour pretty much since Gargano returned to the promotion in August 2022. Now, it has finally happened. The tandem has not wrestled a regular two-on-two tag team match on WWE television since January 2020.

Last night was also Gargano's first WWE appearance in five months. Prior to this, he hadn't been seen since a May battle royal.
