WWE Divas Tag Team Titles Coming?

WWE also considering renaming Divas title.

The Divas Revolution in WWE has meant more time for their female performers on television and it could lead to the introduction of Divas Tag Team Titles. The Wrestling Observer reports there have been internal discussions about adding the titles as a way to give even more emphasis to the divas. It was also mentioned by Dave Meltzer in the Observer that it might be the right time for WWE to drop the "divas" moniker for their female world title and use the word "women" due to the increase in popular in women's sports. Considering the success of women like Ronda Rousey, Serena Williams and the US Women's Soccer Team, it makes sense that WWE calls ditches the diva stigma. Of course, there was a Women's Title in WWE with a history going back to 1956 when The Fabulous Moolah was champion. It had several periods where WWE pushed it and ignored it, but then they merged it with the Divas Title in 2010.

There were also Women's Tag Titles in WWE from 1983 to 1988 as well. Since WWE calls the title in NXT the "NXT Women's Title" perhaps they will be open to changing the name of the Divas Title.
