WWE's next draft will go down on the 9 and 12 October episodes of SmackDown and Raw, the promotion announced during last night's Clash of Champions 2020 pay-per-view.

News of an upcoming roster switch-up first emerged via Fightful Select in early August. It was reported that the Draft was originally supposed to go down that month, though the ongoing global health crisis prompted a delay. October was reported as WWE's potential new target and now, after last night's confirmation, that report has been proven accurate.

This will be the company's first roster shakeup since 2019. Between 11 and 14 October of that year, WWE attempted to reconfigure their Raw and SmackDown rosters for the blue brand's big move to FOX, presenting it more like a legitimate sporting affair with the use of network officials in their respective draft rooms. Fingers crossed they bring the giant dancing robots back for 2020.

There's currently no word on whether or not NXT will be involved in this, though the following tweet focuses exclusively on Raw and SmackDown:-

The 2019 incarnation was WWE's first proper Draft since 2016, with the versions between that branded the "Superstar Shakeup."
