Kofi Kingston put in the performance of a lifetime to get himself into the Elimination Chamber this past Tuesday, and after over a decade plugging away and the PR open goal of Black History Month gaping, there's a very good argument for transferring the title onto The New Day escapologist.

It'd make for a heck of a story, and certainly cause a surge of much-needed WWE interest as we approach 'Mania season, but does such a much serve the long-term plan well?

Not especially: there's no chance Kingston would head into New Jersey with the hemp around his tights, and playing hot potato rarely strengthens a champion's programme. For the same reasons listed above, Bryan beating Kofi to consolidate his heel credentials makes so much more sense.

Prediction: WWE just had that belt made. It isn't being set on fire yet.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
