WWE Evolution: Lita Vs. Mickie James Announced
Pair last met over ten years ago.
WWE have confirmed a third match for the upcoming Evolution show, with long-time foes Lita and Mickie James set to renew their rivalry in Uniondale this October.
The pair last met over ten years ago at Survivor Series 2006, when then-WWE Women's Champion Lita's defeat at the hands of James called time on her career. The two's championship accomplishments are in double figures, with Lita holding four titles to Mickie's six. The former was inducted into WWE's Hall of Fame four years previously. Her last appearance for the company was a cameo during January's inaugural female Royal Rumble, during which she eliminated Mandy Rose and Tamina. The only other time we've seen her in a WWE ring in the past decade was for a comedy squash over Heath Slater at Raw 1000 back in 2012.
So far, only three matches have been announced for WWE Evolution, set to take place on 28 October in Long Island, NY. The company have teased that 50 stars past and present will be on hand for their historic first-ever all-female pay-per-view. Besides Lita, Trish Stratus is the only other 'legend' thus far confirmed for the show.
