1. Seth Rollins Returns

There was enough action during the Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles main event that Extreme Rules didn't need anything after the fact. Therefore, the return of Seth Rollins felt like a real bonus item, especially coming hot on the heels of such a well-received stunt brawl.

As Reigns held the title aloft and began celebrating his victory, Rollins dashed down the aisle, slid into the ring and nailed him with a well-placed Pedigree. For the shortest of moments, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion stared into the crowd with a dirty look on his face.

The message was clear, Rollins will claim he never lost the title (only being stripped when he went down with injury) and should thus still be champ. This sets up a program against Reigns, one during which Seth has to be considered the default babyface.

Fans were giddy to see him back in a WWE ring, people have been longing for such a moment. It was worth the lengthy wait, and yet again the promotion have set up their next headline feud during the conclusion of a pay-per-view.
