No longer a Horror Show, here's when (and where) Extreme Rules 2021 goes down.

WWE Extreme Rules 2021 will take place on Sunday 18 July.

This is according to PWInsider's Mike Johnson, who reports that the show will be held in the WWE TunderDome at Tampa, Florida's Yuengling Center.

There is currently no word on whether or not last year's "Horror Show" theme will be reprised for 2021. That particularly poorly-received event was marred by a number of unpopular creative choices, from the bum finish in Asuka vs. Sasha Banks to Rey Mysterio losing a fake eyeball in his Eye For An Eye match with Seth Rollins - and, of course, Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman's risible Swamp Fight.

Johnson had previously reported that all WWE shows through July would take place in the ThunderDome, though a recent Dave Meltzer story states that if AEW announces attended, touring shows, WWE will consider jumping ahead of them. Jim Ross has suggested AEW will return to an "aggressive" touring schedule from July.

WWE's next pay-per-view, WrestleMania Backlash, goes down on 16 May. Money In The Bank 2021 takes place on 20 June, then it's Extreme Rules 2021 on 18 July. All three are booked in for the ThunderDome.
