WWE Fastlane 2016: 10 Things That Must Happen Tonight
8. Charlotte Beats Brie Bella To Retain Divas Title
Aside from her romantic link to the beloved Daniel Bryan, there isn't a huge swell of fan support for Brie Bella. Her 'Brie Mode' antics aren't really over in a huge way, and fans fully expect that she'll lose out to Charlotte come Fastlane. Admittedly, there is a sense that Brie has only been installed as the main challenger to kill time before WrestleMania. Despite this, it'd be foolish to simply have her job out quickly to the champion. Recent rumours online have suggested that Ric Flair may be taken away from Charlotte's side after 'Mania, so maybe he could play a part in the bout. If he was caught interfering in front of the referee, he could be ordered to head to the backstage area. A Charlotte win without daddy by her side would make the champ look dominant. Later, she could start to grow even more arrogant, wondering if she even needs Ric at ringside at all. This is an age old storyline, nothing radical, but Charlotte desperately needs to look more powerful as a heel. Beating Bella without Flair's help is the first step of that.
