WWE Fastlane 2021 Update: Special Enforcer Confirmed, New Title Match Announced, And More!
Who will be watching over Roman Reigns Vs Daniel Bryan at WWE Fastlane 2021?
The special enforcer for the WWE Fastlane 2021 main event has officially been confirmed.
During last night's Friday Night SmackDown on FOX, Edge - wrestling his first one-on-one blue show match in a decade - was able to overcome Jey Uso in the main event. This means the 2021 Royal Rumble winner now holds the title of special enforcer for Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan's Universal Championship encounter this Sunday.
Elsewhere, a United States Championship encounter was also added to Fastlane's ever-evolving card. Riddle will defend his belt against Mustafa Ali once again after the latter demanded a rematch in the wake of this week's Raw.
Also, Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon's battle is back on. It looked like the pair's grudge match had been shifted from the show earlier this week when it was removed from the official WWE match listings online. However, the battle was promoted once again on SmackDown, so it looks as though it's full steam ahead for the Strowman/McMahon Express.
A stipulation has been added to Drew McIntyre and Sheamus' upcoming war on Sunday night too, with the pair now going head-to-head in a match under No Holds Barred rules. SmackDown also saw the confirmation of Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Seth Rollins at Fastlane, as the latter sows the seeds for a match against Cesaro at 'Mania 37.
The full confirmed card reads as follows:
WWE Universal Title Match - Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns (c)
Special Enforcer: WWE Hall of Famer Edge
WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles Match - Bianca Belair and SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (c)

WWE United States Title Match - Mustafa Ali vs. Riddle (c)
No Holds Barred Match - Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre
