WWE Fastlane: 8 Shock Returns That Could Happen

Eight M.I.A. superstars who could blow the roof off this Sunday.

Huge main event aside, this Sunday's Fastlane pay-per-view could be summed up in one word: underwhelming. The rest of the card, while not exactly cobbled together, doesn't really have any stand-out matches. Sure, Styles vs. Jericho and Owens vs. Ziggler could be great bouts, but they don't have any particular emotional weight and it's hard to get too excited about them. You could argue that the clash between AJ and Y2J is a classic "newcomer vs. veteran" feud, but they've already fought twice now - it'll certainly be hard to keep that one fresh. The Divas Championship match is significant as it could well be Brie Bella's last meaningful act in WWE, but don't brace yourself for a classic, while the women's tag match seems nothing more than filler to kill time before 'Mania. The only remaining main-show bout (a six-man tag between the the Wyatts and the so-called 'Titans') could get very ugly, very fast. So what on earth do WWE have in their locker to save a flagging show? The answer could lie in a surprise return or two. WWE's recent spate of injuries means that it's hard to keep track of who is nearing recovery, and who could even be gearing up for a return ahead of time. Additionally, we could also be in for the shocking comeback of an old favourite, as Vince and co. kick things into a higher gear on the road to WrestleMania.
