As WWE prepares to launch NXT on the USA Network later this month, the company has filed for a number of trademarks for the black and gold brand's superstars.

Within the last week, the following monikers have been registered:

- Candice LeRae

- Angel Garza

- Cameron Grimes

- Tegan Nox

- Shane Thorne

- Joaquin Wilde

- Arturo Ruas

- Dominik Dijakovic

- Damian Priest

- Jaxson Ryker

- Bronson Reed

- Jordan Myles

- Raul Mendoza

- Keith Lee

- Kushida

This follows a similar spate a few weeks back, which saw Breezango, Matt Riddle and Walter's names trademarked, amongst others. Intriguingly, The IIconics were also amongst the bunch, a notable outlier which may suggest WWE plan to shift them to Wednesday nights (although it's not clear why this term was not already registered).

NXT is set to launch on USA on 18 September, in advance of AEW's 4 October television debut on TNT.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
