WWE Gallery: 35 Best WrestleMania Matches

“What a match-up this is gonna be…”

Final 35 Gallery

Honourable mentions are vast in number, because this is WrestleMania.

There is no space for Bret Hart Vs. Yokozuna from WrestleMania IX, even though the Hitman bumped like a piston to put over the mammoth, rapid threat posed by a wrestler so much better than his posthumous reputation. There is no space for the Undertaker Vs. Randy Orton from WrestleMania 21, even in spite of its double-barrelled influence; the first marketed ‘Streak’ match, it also saw Orton’s first truly memorable creative RKO counter.

There is no space for the fun-as-hell blast that was JBL and Finlay’s WrestleMania XXIV Belfast Brawl, even if it provided us the wonderful visual of a bin lid braining Hornswoggle from a great height; ‘Mania, at its very best, is serious, industry-defining business. There is no space for Triple H Vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania X-Seven. Unlike their subsequent, enduring wars, it feels a bit of its time, watched back in 2019.

There is space only for the truly great—the truly Immortal.

NB - We’re not including Chris Benoit’s WrestleMania XX triumph here, as objectively outstanding as it was, because this gallery is intended as a celebration of the Grandest Stage.

NB - We’re not including the WrestleMania XII Iron Man because it’s really boring.
