Before Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Bayley were promoted to the main roster, they were battling each other for the NXT Women’s Championship or putting on world-class wrestling clinics every week on NXT. Anyone watching their performances in 2014/15 could guess that a call-up to the main brand would be sooner rather than later.
On an episode of Raw in July 2015, Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon proclaimed herself the advocate of the “revolution” and introduced Flair, Banks, and Lynch to the main roster. One year later at the Battleground pay-per-view, Bayley was revealed as Banks’ mystery partner and later made her official main roster debut in August 2016.
Since joining the main brand, the Four Horsewomen of WWE have fought each other in the main event, WrestleMania championship, Iron Man, Last Woman Standing matches, and also in the first-ever women’s Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank, TLC, and Royal Rumble matches.
