Undertaker and Shawn Michaels' classic battle at WrestleMania 25 didn't begin when the bell rung. It all began with the entrances, as WrestleMania's two most legendary performers sought to defeat each other before they even landed a punch.
Rising up through the floor, 'Taker stood atop the grand stage and, once again, summoned fire with his hands. He then proceeded towards Michaels in his signature hat and coat, making the long walk to the ring as the fog surrounded him.
Without the introduction, this entrance wasn't actually all that different from what we expected from 'The Deadman'. What made it unique, however, was how beautifully it juxtaposed with Michaels's arrival (who descended from the ceiling in a white hat and coat).
This truly was the light meeting the dark and the entrances highlighted that to perfection. A spectacle for the ages, these contrasting introductions were an example of WWE storytelling at its finest, and it set the stage beautifully for the epic match that was about to unfold.
