'The Phenom's first appearance on the 'Grandest Stage of Them All' took place all the way back in 1991 when he challenged 'Superfly' Jimmy Snuka. Like all of his entrances back then, there was little fanfare as he and Paul Bearer just silently marched towards the ring as his music played.
While it may pale in comparison to the grander arrivals he makes these days, there was still something incredibly special about watching this larger-than-life superstar make his typical entrance in front of a huge crowd, unperturbed by the spectacle that was WrestleMania. There was also something unearthly about the rapturous cheers he received, given that he was a heel at the time - an omen of things to come.
