WWE Had To Reshoot THIS SmackDown Match 4 Times Last Week

Something went awry several times during WWE's SmackDown tapings.

Spare a thought for poor Otis' back right now, as Mr. Money in the Bank was made to take four painful Spinebusters following multiple reshoots in his match with Baron Corbin from the 5 June episode of SmackDown.

Today's Fightful Wrestling Weekly column details what happened. In it, Sean Ross Sapp states that the Spinebuster spot wasn't even the part of the match that went awry and necessitated the reshoots, though Otis still had to take it several times in a row. Back bumps are notoriously painful, though Otis is a big, beefy boy and built to take it.

Otis ended up defeating Corbin via disqualification on just four minutes. The 28-year-old is on an upward trajectory after claiming the MITB briefcase and winning Mandy Rose's affections at WrestleMania 36, where he defeated Dolph Ziggler. Otis will likely clash with Corbin again in the future.

Another reshoot came during an MVP promo in which Bobby Lashley's manager referred to the wrestlers brought in was crowd members as "NXT Superstars." Somebody hit the loudspeaker to correct him, telling the former United States Champion to refer to the peanut gallery strictly as "Performance Center recruits."
