WWE Hall Of Famer Rob Van Dam has gone on record to suggest that today's pro wrestlers ignore logic to "do moves that don't make sense".

RVD told listeners tuning into his '1 Of A Kind' podcast that he's "turned down" ideas from younger workers because they didn't follow "kayfabe". Explaining, he said one wrestler wanted to position his head so it was beneath the second turnbuckle. In theory, Van Dam would be trapped, but he didn't understand why.

So, he said no and they didn't include that spot in the match after all.

Fans on social media have already flocked to pick holes in Rob's argument by pointing to moves he used in ECW, WWE and TNA that didn't exactly scream logic. Via his pod, Van Dam said he'd only knock back a spot if it seemed totally clueless or "I [need] to have an instruction manual just to take [it]".

RVD earned a reputation for himself by delivering impactful strikes and flashy moves aplenty towards the end of the 1990s. However, he says he always tried to tie everything together in a logical way so it didn't look outlandish or silly.
