WWE Hall Of Famer Physically Assaulted By "Fan" At WrestleMania 42 (WWE News)
A WWE legend says he was assaulted and stalked during WrestleMania 42 weekend.
WWE legend Sean 'X-Pac' Waltman has revealed that he was "physically assaulted and stalked" during his stay at the company/wrestler/staff hotel in Las Vegas over WrestleMania 42 weekend. Waltman quote-posted a TMZ video looking at the CM Punk incident - Punk was angry when someone followed his wife AJ Lee and Bayley down the hallway to film a private moment between them.
Waltman said: "That guy and all the rest like him can get f***ed. It was insane how these people were. I got physically assaulted and [a] camera shoved in my face, stalked in the bathroom and more".
Following up on that, the former D-Generation X member added: "I don't have a problem [with] people taking pictures or recording in public. It's when you invade someone's space, stick cameras in people's faces. I have a problem with that".
Then, Waltman noted that his stay at another hotel for WrestleCon was much more peaceful, because fans in and around the hotel were "totally respectful".
It's obviously awful that someone followed Sean into a bathroom and tried to get pictures or autographs in there. That sort of thing was never going to end well, especially if talent/guests didn't feel there was enough security keeping them safe or forcing fans to respect their privacy.
WWE/TKO and/or the MGM Grand (the hotel) failed to adequately police the situation in the lobby. So, vast numbers of people congregated and plagued wrestlers/staff whenever they passed through. Some were able to stay remarkably calm, but it wasn't a great scenario for anyone.
