WWE Hall-of-Famer Kurt Angle will appear on Monday Night Raw next week when the show emanates from the Olympic gold medalist's hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa.

Angle had a decorated career in WWE and enjoyed a second act beginning in 2017 that saw him team with Ronda Rousey in her first match, become Raw GM, compete as an impromptu member of The Shield, and finally retire at WrestleMania 35 after losing to Baron Corbin.

Since then, Angle has made sporadic appearances, including an August 2019 Raw that also took place in Pittsburgh. Most recently, the Olympic Hero appeared on Raw via video message to congratulate John Cena on his 20th anniversary in WWE.

WWE has not yet announced what role Angle will play on Raw, but it almost certainly won't be in a wrestling capacity, as Angle himself has said that after a recent double knee replacement that he is not going to lace up the boots for one more match.

We'll have to see if WWE tips their hand to what Angle does on Raw next week beyond drawing a huge hometown pop.
