WWE Has A Problem... And Triple H Is NOT Happy With It (WWE News)
The Game is NOT a fan of the WWE NIL program.
With WWE nowadays having NXT, EVOLVE, and the WWE ID program as ways to usher in the stars of tomorrow, one thing that's quietly been deemphasised in recent months is WWE Next in Line (NIL).
The NIL program launched in 2021, paving the way for college athletes to have access to the WWE Performance Center and the wider WWE developmental system with the aim of eventually becoming WWE superstars.
However, speaking on the latest Self Made Sessions, Ibou of Self Made Pro said that Triple H has been a driving factor in deemphasising the WWE NIL program in favour of the WWE ID program, mainly because the Game didn't like the progress of the men's wrestlers in NIL, nor did he have any interest in potentially calling them up to the main roster.
For Triple H, his thought process was that, rather than developing athletes into wrestlers from scratch, WWE ID - a program that gives independent wrestlers an 'in' to WWE - works better in the way that it brings in wrestlers who already know how to work, and it's then a case of teaching them the WWE style and presentation.
It was added that there's a feeling that, in recent times, NXT hasn't properly prepared talents for a main roster move, and that already established main roster talents are frustrated at WWE rushing to have them lose to call-ups who aren't ready, and this is said to be a particular issue with the women's division. As in, established talent are concerned about losing to new call-ups that aren't up to it, themselves then getting pushed down the pecking order, and potentially even being released once their stock has dropped.
