WWE Has Officially Entered Its AI Slop Era... (WWE News)

Per TKO's Mark Shapiro, "Nick Khan and Triple H are using AI for storylines with the WWE."

While it feels as if WWE touts a new 'era' every few weeks lately, it appears that the market leader is about to enter its AI Era, if it's not entered that era already.

This comes on the heels of TKO holding a town hall meeting on Monday, which initially brought news of WWE President Nick Khan hitting back at criticisms of "over-commercialisation and creative" by labelling such complaints as coming from a "vocal minority."

With POST Wrestling having obtained the audio of that meeting, we now have some comments from TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro on a plan to make AI in WWE a "major priority" for efficiency and productivity.

As Shapiro explained:

"Nick Khan and Triple H are using AI for storylines with the WWE. What's resonating? What superstars are resonating? In what pockets of the country are they resonating? That helps us with, obviously, our content, our editorial, our creative, our mapping, our touring, and, of course, maximising revenue and getting our product to our fans most in need of it."

While no specifics were given in terms of which AI partner WWE is utilising, the most likely bet would seemingly be Meta, purely down to how Meta already works with UFC, who are obviously also under the TKO banner.

For those who don't keep up with the UFC, Dana White - UFC's Chief Executive Officer - was typically blunt when asked about AI during the post-card media scrum for UFC Fight Night: Adesanya vs. Pyfer last month.

White's response was:

"Give me a f**king break. AI is coming, and if we're using AI, who gives a s**t. People are upset, and we should use artists? How about this: shut the f**k up and watch the fights."

It wasn't just Mark Shapiro who discussed WWE's AI usage during this recent town hall, as TKO Chief Financial Officer Andrew Schleimer had a slightly different viewpoint on the matter, noting that the company has only run "tests and pilots" for AI, and the use of AI was mainly for "data and analytics."

Coincidentally, fans have taken to social media to lambast a Zaria and Sol Ruca vignette that aired on last night's NXT broadcast, with that vignette clearly having used AI.
