WWE Hell In A Cell: 10 Things We Learned

7. The Dudley Boyz Are Still Waiting On 10th Reign

It seemed a given that The Dudley Boyz would win the WWE Tag-Team Titles from The New Day at Hell In A Cell. Everything seemed to add up to that eventuality, but it didn't end up going down. At both Night Of Champions and Live From Madison Square Garden, Bubba Ray and D-Von were cheated out of their historic 10th tag title victory by The New Day. Xavier Woods was out of the picture for Hell In A Cell. The Dudleyz had taken him out on Raw, putting him through a table in the middle of the ring. The previous losses, along with the elimination of New Day's numbers advantage, seemed to suggest that 10th big title win in WWE was about to happen. As aforementioned, it didn't, and the wait is still on. Kofi Kingston and Big E escaped with their title run still intact. Surely, WWE's creative team will book The Dudley Boyz to win the WWE Tag-Team Titles again at some point. The infamous tandem have been impressive since returning to the promotion in August, and their win would garner a huge pop from the crowd it happens in front of. Maybe the company feel the team are much more effective chasing the gold, rather than holding it.
