WWE Hell In A Cell 2016: Ranking Every Match From Worst To Best

Women reign supreme.

As underwhelming as brand-specific PPVs can be, Hell in a Cell 2016 overcame the odds (and a consensus among many fans that three HIAC matches was at least one too many) to deliver a surprisingly consistent show for the most part.

There wasn't a single outright stinker on the card, and while there wasn't anything in the way of a classic either, the majority of the eight bouts fell into the "average" or "above average" categories.

The show was a little less predictable thanks to some surprise booking, and basically proved that "gimmick PPVs" don't have to undermine the very match type they're apparently celebrating.

It wasn't a show for the ages, but it sure was better than most expected. Here is every WWE Hell in a Cell 2016 match ranked from worst to best...

8. Bayley Vs. Dana Brooke

Result: Bayley scores the win with a Belly to Bayley (6:30).

Rating: Why this wasn't the pre-show match is anyone's guess. It was hard to really care or get invested in what felt like a standard Raw match, especially with Bayley's victory being completely inevitable.

It wasn't terrible, just rather dull and it felt like neither talent put much effort into it. Given how stacked the show was, this is the one match that blatantly should've been cut from the card to let it actually finish on time.

At least it was short, and if the worst match on the show is something merely mediocre, then it clearly isn't that bad overall. 5/10
