WWE Hell In A Cell 2020: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

They wouldn't. Would they?

The top three matches on Sunday's Hell In A Cell pay-per-view show the level of stories WWE can put together when they want to.

Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso, Bayley vs. Sasha Banks and Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton all belong in the titular Cell, which is a huge surprise considering the gimmick's recent attempts, and they're all feuds that reward long-term fan investment. After that...things kinda' fall off a cliff. Indeed, the promotion's other plans for HIAC (aside from a tacked-on Elias vs. Jeff Hardy bout) remain a mystery at time of writing.

If that aforementioned trio of belters is the very best of WWE storytelling, then the ongoing Retribution muck is the worst. Christ knows what the company are trying to achieve here - Retribution are looking less like a dominant heel faction and more like opening level enemies from Streets Of Rage 4. They're about to hit J.O.B Squad levels of infamy if this keeps up.

They're also involved in this nightmare collective of unsatisfying scenarios for Sunday's card. Welcome to the worst 'what ifs' you can imagine. New, unwanted champs? More utter nonsense? It could happen...
