WWE Hints At Major Women's Title Feud On Raw

Funny how backstage glances often lead to big-time matches on big stages.

WWE might have hinted on last night's Raw at a rivalry between two dominant women on Raw who have yet to really cross paths on the main roster.

On Raw, Rhea Ripley was walking backstage with her Judgment Day stablemates after conducting an interview, when she happened upon Bianca Belair, who was walking by. Ripley stopped to stare down the Raw Women's Champion, acknowledged her, and then Belair walked on.

It was a short, very simple interaction, but it got a pretty good reaction from the fans in attendance (their cheers came through despite this taking place backstage), and it would be a clash between two of the genuinely biggest female superstars on Raw today.

Belair has held the Raw Women's Championship since WrestleMania 38, while Ripley has only had one televised match since early June - against Roxanne Perez in NXT last month. Still, they've been among the most prominent women featured on WWE programming in recent months, and a feud between Ripley and Belair could easily lead to a WrestleMania match for Bianca's title.

The two have quite the history, though it's almost entirely in NXT. They've had two singles matches, both of which Ripley has won, and a bunch of tag matches, multi-woman matches, Royal Rumbles, and Survivor Series elimination matches.

Their last singles bout was for the NXT Women's Championship in February 2020.
