WWE Icon Mick Foley Lavishes Praise On Recent AEW Match
"I’d be hard pressed to tell you that I could have done any better".
WWE legend and all-round grappling father figure Mick Foley has posted a quick video on his official Twitter page praising the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite.
Mick was especially full of gushing praise for the 'Parking Lot Brawl' between Best Friends and the team of Santana and Ortiz. His compliments follow kudos from AEW announcer Jim Ross, who named that match the "the best street fight he has ever called".
Ooft.
Foley, meanwhile, said he'd be "hard pressed" to honestly say he could've produced a brawl that was any better than AEW's. He was particularly impressed by how stiff everyone was during the match - they really laid it in, but Mick thought the quartet were "as safe as they could be under the circumstances".
The 'Hardcore Legend' then went on to reveal that he once pitched a parking lot scuffle of his own with Vadar back in the old WWF days. Foley wanted to work a super-stiff brawl with his old WCW rival in Atlanta's Omni, because that place "had this really cool underground parking lot structure".
Ultimately, Vince McMahon wasn't interested in Mick's pitch.
