WWE is interested in signing reigning NJPW Strong Women's Champion and Stardom standout Giulia, reports PWInsider's Mike Johnson.

The 29-year-old international wrestling star is a reported signing target for the market leaders, who hope to bring her to the United States. Per one of Johnson's sources, the situation is so advanced that Giulia is expected at the WWE Performance Center in Winter Park, Florida later this month.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online reports that Giulia is contracted to Stardom/NJPW parent company Bushiroad until March 2024. On the PC note, Meltzer states that it's unlikely that Bushiroad would allow such a thing. Giulia also has a busy booking schedule between now and the Battle in the Valley event in San José, California on 13 January.

Giulia, 29, is regarded amongst the brightest wrestling stars in Japan, not only for her prodigious in-ring abilities, but also her megastar charisma and presence. This skillset should translate well to an American promotion should she jump across the Pacific.

125 days have elapsed since Giulia dethroned AEW's Willow Nightingale to become NJPW Strong Women's Champion. Giulia has long been linked with a title fight with Mercedes Moné, the former Sasha Banks, who remains injured.
