WWE Just Scrapped THIS Regular NXT 2.0 Segment

Don't expect to see this regular gimmick on NXT TV anymore...

Lashing Out with Lash Legend is no more.

Dave Meltzer writes in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the segment, which had run semi-regular since NXT was rebranded into NXT 2.0, has been canned by WWE. Executed in a similar format to various talk shows in the United States, it saw host Lash Legend banter with her audience and the occasional guest, lasting a couple of minutes each time.

The last Lashing Out aired on NXT 2.0's 16 November episode, with Grayson Waller as the guest:-

Rather than moving forward with these NXT skits, Legend will seemingly be focusing on wrestling going forward. She is due to make her in-ring debut against Amari Miller on tonight's episode of 205 Live. The bout has already been taped, with WWE capturing the footage prior to this week's NXT show.

Legend, real name Anriel Howard, is a former WNBA player and college basketball star, who holds the career-double-doubles record at the latter level. Meltzer writes that as far as pedigree in major sports go, Howard should be considered the most accomplished female athlete that WWE has ever signed - apart from Ronda Rousey.
