WWE Legend Praises Johnny Knoxville's Royal Rumble 2022 Inclusion

This Hall Of Famer thinks the Jackass star's Royal Rumble cameo is good for WWE.

Booker T believes that Johnny Knoxville's upcoming cameo in the 2022 Royal Rumble will be "fun".

The WWE Hall Of Famer also told fans tuning into his podcast that he "doesn't know why people are in an uproar about it". Book went on to point out that Knoxville isn't exactly the first celebrity to be involved in the 30-strong match; comedian Drew Carey worked a spot in the 2001 version, and countless "guest entrants" (including Booker himself when he was a colour commentator) have been involved.

Booker isn't having any of this 'Knoxville is stealing a full-time WWE star's spot' discussion either. He says he and his peers always viewed celeb involvement as a positive back in the day. It was considered a good thing if celebrities crossed over to pro wrestling and brought some more eyes with them.

Ex-WCW World Champion David Arquette (which still feels weird to type more than 20 years on) once said that Booker was very welcoming to him back in 2000. The future WWE legend didn't understand the hate Arquette was getting back then, and he doesn't understand the frostiness towards Knoxville today.
