WWE Legend's Return Confirmed For Late August

THIS future Hall-of-Famer is on his way back to WWE.

Kane is set to return to a WWE ring later this month, PW Insider have confirmed.

The writeup notes that 'The Big Red Machine' is currently being advertised for a 23 August Raw house show in Bossier City, Louisiana, as well as another event the following night in Lafayette, Louisiana's Cajundome, where he is confirmed to face Braun Strowman. That show will be main-evented by a United States Championship Street Fight pitting AJ Styles against Ricochet.

These appearances will be Kane's first in a WWE ring since he teamed with The Undertaker to face Shawn Michaels and Triple H in a much-maligned tag bout at Crown Jewel last November.

As things stand, 2019 is shaping up to be the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee's least active year in wrestling. His career away from the sport means this isn't a surprise, but he is currently scheduled to work just two bouts this year compared to 22 in 2018.

Whether or not Kane's house show return will result in televised appearances remains to be seen. It was somewhat surprising that he wasn't in the house for last month's Raw Reunion, even if he was probably too busy doing mayor stuff.
