Rough news for Drew McIntyre, who is apparently dealing with a back injury just weeks before a major Premium Live Event match.
Fightful Select reports that McIntyre has been pulled from the road for this weekend's live events due to a back injury that requires time to rest. Surgery isn't expected -- just rest -- but that also could require some juggling of plans.
The Scottish Warrior is slated to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Heavyweight Championship at next month's Clash at the Castle, which WWE is heavily promoting as taking place in McIntyre's backyard of Cardiff, Wales, which is more than 600 km from his hometown of Ayr, Scotland.
McIntyre wrestled against the Usos in a tag match Friday on SmackDown that saw Madcap Moss join the contest mid-match. He also competed in two six-man tag matches alongside the Street Profits during last weekend's house shows.

Fightful indicates that McIntyre is still expected to compete at Clash in three weeks. McIntyre and Reigns are scheduled to go face-to-face on next week's SmackDown.
