Tonight's episode of WWE NXT will be bolstered by the presence of The Brawling Brutes, with Sheamus, Butch, and Ridge Holland making the jump from SmackDown.

While there is currently no word on what the Brutes will be doing on NXT, WWE has confirmed they'll be at the Performance Center.

This forms part of a busy week for the trio starting with Sheamus' Intercontinental Championship rematch against GUNTHER on Friday's special Season Premiere episode of SmackDown. GUNTHER defeated Sheamus in a well-received match at Clash At The Castle last month, drawing a ***** rating from the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer.

On Saturday (8 October), The Brawling Brutes collide with GUNTHER's Imperium group (completed by Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser) at Extreme Rules 2022. WWE announced the Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook stipulation (essentially a no disqualification match) for this last week.

Tonight will be NXT's first live broadcast in several weeks, with WWE opting to pretape the past couple of shows. The developmental brand is in the midst of something of a makeover back to its old black and gold self after over a year as NXT 2.0.
