WWE Newcastle Live Review – 10 Interesting Observations You Need To Know

1. John Cena Is Still WWE's Biggest Star

John Cena was by the far the biggest star on this show and WWE are still some way off replacing him. Even before the show, you could tell that people had came to see mainly him. So many fans were kitted out in his merchandise and buying more from the vendors. When he actually came out, his ovation was the loudest of the night. Fans were really into him. Even those who wanted to boo him, they still enjoyed the experience of having a star of his calibre there. Given that the audience was such a kid / parent dynamic, it was nice to see John getting mostly cheers and having a really positive match. There were boos and the occasional "Cena Sucks", but nothing like the really bad heat he has taken in the past. As far as his ring work goes, it was good. He did the second rope stunner again, which is already in danger of being way too overdone. We also had the five moves of doom, which the crowd loved. Overall, it was a really good night. It is definitely worth shelling out a little bit more money and getting ringside seats. The experience is great, although you don't really actually get to stand on the ringside barricade due to the volume of children who rush forward at every start and ending.
